A stranger in a strange land, Chloe is a young Quebec doctor who lives on the Israeli side of the West Bank and works at a refugee camp on the Palestinian side. Since 2000, Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette has directed several documentaries: Les Petits Princes des bidonville, Les Mains du Monde, Si j’avais un Chapeau, Tap-Tap. In 2002, she represented Canada at the Odyssée du volontatriat, which leads her around the world to direct short documentaries. In 2007, she directed the feature film The Ring, selected at the Pusan and Berlin Film Festivals in 2008 and winner of several international awards: Grand Jury Award at the Taipei Film Festival, Best Director at the Miradas of Madrid, Special Jury Award and Best actor at the Vladivostok Film Festival. In 2009, her documentary  Little Giants, (co-directed with Émile Proulx-Cloutier), is presented as the closing night film at the Rendez-vous du cinéma Québécois and won, in 2010, the Gemini Award for Best Documentary - Culture. In 2010, she directed the documentary Remembering the ashes on the set of the film Incendies by Denis Villeneuve. Inch’Allah is her second feature film.
