About the Director

Rodrigo Blaas has worked in animation for more than ten years. He has been an Animator at Pixar for seven years, and has worked on projects like FINDING NEMO, THE INCREDIBLES, CARS, RATATOUILLE, WALLE and UP. Rodrigo, a self-taught animator, develops his passion for animation in Granada, Spain, after a short career in snowboard competition. He then decides to settle in Madrid, Spain, where he works on 3D projects for advertising and visual effects for studios like Molinare and Miopia. He joins Blue Sky Studio in 2000 where he works on his first feature film, ICE AGE. In 2007, Rodrigo decides to direct his first short film, ALMA, with an international team. Artists from Spain, France and the US have taken part in this project. Rodrigo Blaas lives in San Francisco with his wife.
