A defining actor of his generation, James Franco’s iconic performances in the Spiderman Trilogy, and his metamorphosis into the title role of the James Dean biopic, are unforgettable.  His performance in Milk earned him an Independent Spirit Award, and he was nominated for a Golden Globe for Pineapple Express.  He recently appeared in Nights in Rodanthe, In The Valley of Elah, DATE NIGHT, and Danny Boyle’s upcoming 127 Hours.  He has written and directed several short plays, directed a documentary feature, SATURDAY NIGHT, and written and directed several short films, including A CLERK’S TALE (official HIFF selection).
