Program Notes

An inspiring documentary about a 13-yeard-old boy who overcomes his physical disability to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and raise money to buy wheelchair for the handicapped of Tanzania.

About the Director

Steve Audette has been making documentaries for nearly 20 years. After a 15 year run with the PBS public affairs series FRONTLINE, Audette is currently working as Senior Editor for another PBS series, NOVA. His first program for the series won The American Association for the Advancement of Science's major journalism award. With over 40 production credits, Audette's work has contributed to many Emmy Award-winning documentaries, as well as Peabody and DuPont Columbia Award-winning programs. In 2008 Steve was nominated for an Eddie Award from American Cinema Editors (A.C.E.), in the category of Best Documentary Editor on FRONTLINE: BUSH'S WAR; which went on to win the News and Documentary Emmy that fall.  Last year Steve expanded his production credits to include making the film, NICO'S CHALLENGE.
