The lives of a young schoolgirl and a woman in rural Scotland become inextricably inked in events linked leading up to a fateful night on the summer solstice.

David Stoddart is a writer/director from the rural fishing town of Oban on the west coast of Scotland. He initially studied marketing and economics in Glasgow, then after a motoring accident left him in hospital and unable to finish his business course he decided to follow his passion for film and study at the Arts Institute in Bournemouth. His graduation film, WAITING FOR EXIT MUSIC, went on to premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival before screening at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. He has also written an award-winning short film, ROCK BOTTOM RISERS, screened at the LA Expo Film Festival, before coming to the NFTS.
